Support - Setup Windows Mail as your Email Client

To setup Windows Mail you will need following values during process.

Your Email Address: yourname@yourdomain.com
Your Email Password: Please use the password supplied by Positive E Solutions Inc.

Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
The outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication and will communicate on Port: 587

Note: Please replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain. Your domain might have a different ending (.com, .ca, .net, .org) please use accordingly.

1. Open the Windows mail application. Click on the "Tools" drop down menu and select "Accounts".
If it is your first time opening Windows Mail you might get the "Add New Email" wizard, please continue with Step4.

2. Click on "Add" to continue.

3. Please select "E-Mail Account" and click "Next" to continue.

4. Enter your name into the appropriate field and click "Next" to continue.

5. Enter your email address into the appropriate field and click "Next" to continue.

6. Please leave the "POP3" selection in the first field or select "POP3" if it was changed. Insert your incoming and the outgoing mail server into the appropriate fields and click "Next".

7. Please enter your email address into the "E-mail username" field and the password (supplied by PES Inc.) into the "Password" field. Check the "Remember Password" check box and leave the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" checkbox blank. Then click "next" to continue.

8. The basic email setup is finished but we are not done yet. Please click "finish" to continue.

9. After clicking "Finish" you should be back to the "Internet Accounts" window, if the window is closed please perform Step 1. Please select the account we just created and click on "Properties".

10. Please select the "Server" Tab and check the "My server requires authentication" checkbox. Click "Settings" to continue.

11. Please check to see if the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" radio button is selected. If not check it. Click "OK" to continue.

12. Select the "Advanced" Tab and change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) Port Number to 587. Click "Apply" and "Ok" to continue.

13. Close the "Internet Accounts" window and test your email. If you receive an error while sending / receiving please check entries by following Step 9 to 12.
